Marvel Generations: The Strongest Review - Double the Hulk

Like many people who read modern comic books, I was initially sceptical about this whole Generations 'event' that Marvel were going to do. I didn't really have that much information about it and didn't actually understand what was going to happen.

The first issue was good. I feel that starting it of with the two Hulks was a smart idea, as it would get the fans to become interested and intrigued. My only real gripe with this now is that they don't really explain how the two of them got there in the first place, or why it is happening.

Apart from that, the writing was excellent from Greg Pak (as it most often is), and the art really suited the Hulks.

Even due to all this I am still going to give this issue a 7/10.

X-CORP #1 - A Slow-Paced, But Serviceable Beginning

 This story is written by: Tini Howard, with visuals from: Alberto Foche & Sunny Gho. From what I can tell at least, this is a series that has been a long time in the making, dating back to the original announcement of this reboot all the way back in 2019. Back then, it was more a case of teasing that something like this would be coming, rather than actually being a part of that initial slate of titles, but as soon as the Reign of X was announced, this came along with it. To say that the books that have come after that initial wave have been varying in quality would really be an understatement, as so very many of them are really poor in my opinion, and it is a surprise that the ones that are actually considered the good ones in this whole line are the ones that are getting cancelled (aside from Cable, that deserves the axe). Amazing Spider-Man #794 Thoughts

Scorpio returns! (Wait ... nobody cheered.) A year (of Marvel Time) has passed since Spidey and the gang imprisoned Scorpio in the Zodiac Dimension, and it was time for him to wreck havoc once agqin (or fail miserably .... your choice). My opinion of this issue is that, as is often the case, nothing of consequence happens until the very end. This particular twist is both interesting and extremely terrifying, as out old buddy Norman Osborn got his filthy mits on the Carnage symbiote. My question is: where is Cletus Kassidy ... I don't remember him losing the symbiote in the last Carnage mini series. I think this storyline will be running up until Dan Slott's departure from the title in #800, and will no doubt destroy Peter Parker's life for what will probably be the millionth time in his publication history. This issue gets a 6/10 for me, as it was pretty boring.

Marvel Chronological Journey Update

Hey, remember when I posted regularly on here .... good times. Those good time will be returning very soon, as I will be renewing the Marvel Chronological Journey, beginning with Defenders #110-131 (will probably do that in small junks), followed by 6 other series reviews, culminating in a review of Marvel's first Secret Wars event. I will make an effort to actually post these reviews on a regular basis, and let you know if I am unable to do so. Once I reach Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars,  I will be covering in 2 separate parts; Issue #1-#6, and then Issue #7-#12. This will be the structure for all event reviews for this feature in the future.
